Tickets appear Tuesday at 10am CEST for visits six weeks later. There is no official waiting list, so this is the booking that sets the calendar.
Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh
Choose the Rijksmuseum for Dutch art across centuries and Van Gogh for one focused artist story. Doing both back to back is possible but dulls the second visit.
Stay by the route you will use
Canal Belt and Jordaan favor walking. De Pijp favors food. Oost is calmer and often better value, with a tram ride into the center.
Keep the bike optional
A first-time visitor does not need to cycle in the busiest center. Walk, use trams and rent a bike only when the traffic language feels legible.
