Should you book Le Bristol or Cheval Blanc Paris?
Le Bristol or Cheval Blanc Paris? For two people I'd book Le Bristol, in a room with garden in its name: the Deluxe Room with garden view is 45 square meters over the hotel's garden, and the category guarantees the view. For a family, or for the Seine, I'd book Cheval Blanc.
The two are opposite answers to the same budget. Le Bristol, at 112 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th arrondissement, sells quiet: a courtyard garden, rooms sold by the side of the building they face, and an indoor rooftop pool. Cheval Blanc Paris, on the Seine in the 1st arrondissement, has 72 rooms and suites, a 30 meter pool, a kids' club included in the stay and views of the Louvre and the river from the right rooms.
Neither hotel showed a rate on the room pages I read on November 2, 2026, so price your own dates on both sites before deciding.

Who should book Le Bristol?
A couple, or anyone who sleeps badly in a city. At Le Bristol the side of the building is the whole choice: courtyard, street or garden. The garden side is sold by name, from the Deluxe Room with garden view up, so you pay for the quiet view rather than ask for it at check-in. The Le Bristol room guide has every category and the two to skip.
The catch is its entry room. The Superior Room is 35 square meters and the hotel lists it for one guest, so a couple starts at the Executive Room, which faces the courtyard. Le Bristol also suits a trip built on shopping and the Right Bank: the Faubourg Saint-Honoré runs past the door.
Who should book Cheval Blanc Paris?
A family, or anyone who wants to look at the Seine. The kids' club is part of every stay, the 30 meter pool is the larger of the two, and most Deluxe rooms take three guests, against one or two in Le Bristol's smaller rooms. The Balcony Deluxe Room connects to a Louvre Deluxe Room, which is how I'd put a family of four on the river side.
The catch is the floor. Every Cheval Blanc room page says the view depends on the floor you are given, and the plain Deluxe Room looks at the buildings across the street, not the river. The Cheval Blanc room guide says which category faces what, and the Plénitude guide covers its three-star restaurant, which books separately.
What else should you compare before booking a Paris palace?
Ritz Paris or Hôtel de Crillon makes the same call for Place Vendôme and Place de la Concorde. Where to stay in Paris picks the neighborhood first: the 8th for Le Bristol, the 1st and the river for Cheval Blanc. Landing in the morning? The early arrival guide covers booking the night before.
