Hotel Cipriani: which room to book

Hotel Cipriani in Venice is closed and reopens June 1, 2027. When it does, book a Premium St Mark's View Room: 40 to 47 square meters looking across the lagoon to St Mark's, the least expensive category with that view. Rooms checked November 4, 2026.

Which room should you book at Hotel Cipriani?

Which room should you book at Hotel Cipriani? First, the dates: the hotel says it is closed and reopens on June 1, 2027. From then, I'd book a Premium St Mark's View Room, 40 to 47 square meters in the Palazzetto, the least expensive room that looks across the water to St Mark's.

Hotel Cipriani is Belmond's hotel on Giudecca, the island across the lagoon from St Mark's Square, with 55 rooms, 20 suites and 4 signature suites. Its own boat crosses to St Mark's in 5 minutes. The view back at the city is the reason to stay on Giudecca, so the view is the decision.

How do the Hotel Cipriani rooms and suites compare?

From the Hotel Cipriani rooms page on belmond.com, checked November 4, 2026. The hotel shows no rates while it is closed.

The rooms page lists more categories than these; this is the range from entry room to signature suite.

Which Hotel Cipriani room should you skip?

Skip the Superior Room. At 23 to 31 square meters with what the hotel itself calls a limited view, it gives you Giudecca without the reason to be on Giudecca. If the budget stops below the St Mark's rooms, the Premium Lagoon View Room with Balcony keeps the water in view and adds a balcony.

Which Hotel Cipriani room suits a family or a summer stay?

  • A family of four: the Superior Suite or the San Giorgio Suite, both up to four guests with extra beds. The hotel has a children's club.
  • July and August by the pool: the Villeggiatura Junior Suite or the Junior Suite Poolside with Patio. The heated outdoor pool is one the hotel calls the largest in Venice.
  • The postcard view from your room: the St Mark's View Suite or the Dogaressa Suite, in Palazzo Vendramin, facing St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace.

The Laguna and Serenissima suites are for two adults only.

What should you ask for when you book?

  1. The building: the main building, the Palazzetto or Palazzo Vendramin. The St Mark's views are in the last two.
  2. Your opening date: the hotel reopens June 1, 2027. Book the first week only if a late change of plan would not matter to you.
  3. The airport boat: the hotel gives 30 minutes by water taxi from Marco Polo airport and 20 from Santa Lucia station.

For a stay before June 1, 2027, the Aman Venice room guide picks the room at the hotel that is open on the Grand Canal, and Aman Venice or Hotel Cipriani compares the two.

For the rest of the trip, the Venice luggage guide covers arrivals by water, and the Venice Biennale 2027 guide covers the exhibition that opens May 8, 2027.
