Choose Casa Batlló for visual drama
Casa Batlló is the more immediately dazzling visit. The marine stairwell, curved woodwork, blue light well and roof feel like one continuous composition. Its official site estimates about 1 hour 15 minutes for a general visit and includes an audioguide.

Choose La Pedrera for architecture and the roof
La Pedrera explains how a Gaudí apartment building worked. The courtyards, furnished apartment, ribbed attic and sculptural rooftop make the building easier to understand as architecture. The official Essential visit takes about 60 to 90 minutes.
The official La Pedrera ticket page lists daytime, sunset and night options. The rooftop is the highlight, so poor weather reduces the advantage.

La Pedrera notes that most public areas are accessible, while the uneven rooftop has limitations. Check each venue directly for your needs.
Can you visit both on the same day?
You can walk between them on Passeig de Gràcia, but two premium house interiors plus Sagrada Família is too much Gaudí for most people. If both houses matter, put them on separate days or visit one interior and see the other façade.
A good pairing is Casa Batlló or La Pedrera in late afternoon after a slower Eixample lunch. Keep Sagrada Família and Park Güell on another route.
Where each house fits in the trip
Casa Batlló fits naturally between Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia and dinner in Eixample. La Pedrera sits farther north and pairs well with Gràcia. The four-day itinerary gives one house its own place instead of treating it as an extra ticket.
Book Sagrada Família first using the ticket guide, then decide whether another Gaudí interior still earns the time and budget.
