When do Septime reservations open?
Septime opens reservations every day at 10am Paris time for the date exactly three weeks ahead, and you book on the restaurant's own Zenchef page. The Septime site puts it in one line: bookings open each day at 10am for the next three weeks, day plus 21. So on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 10am, Thursday, November 19 went on sale.
Septime is a modern French restaurant in the 11th arrondissement with one set menu chosen by the kitchen, five courses at lunch and seven at dinner.
10am in Paris is 4am in New York for most of the year. For a few weeks in spring and autumn, when Europe and the United States change their clocks on different Sundays, the gap is five hours instead of six and the release lands at 5am in New York. October 25 to November 1, 2026 is one of those weeks.
I'd count back 21 days from the night you want, set an alarm for 9:55am Paris time that morning, and be on the Zenchef booking page with a second date picked before it opens. The dinner tables for Thursday and Friday go first.
What are Septime's days, menus and prices?
| What | The rule |

| Booking window | Every day at 10am Paris time, for the date 21 days ahead |
| Where to book | Zenchef, linked from the restaurant's own site |

| Dinner | Seven-course set menu chosen by the kitchen, 135 euros. Wine pairing 75 euros. |
| Address | 80 rue de Charonne, 11th arrondissement |
The menu is the kitchen's choice on the day, called carte blanche on the site, so there is nothing to order. Tell them about allergies when you book.
The site does not publish a cancellation or deposit rule. The booking page shows its terms before you confirm, so read them there, and assume a no-show at a 135-euro dinner costs something.
Is lunch or dinner easier to get at Septime?
Lunch is easier, and it is the meal I'd book. Lunch is five courses for 85 euros against seven for 135 at dinner, and the demand is lower because most visitors are at a museum at 12:15 on a weekday. You still need to book on the release morning, but a lunch table often survives the first few minutes that the dinner tables don't.
Because Septime closes on weekends, a Monday to Wednesday lunch is the softest target. If your trip is a long weekend, Friday lunch is the only slot that fits it, and it goes fast.
Dinner is the right call if you want the longer menu with the wine pairing and have no reason to be up early. Plan on three hours.
Can you walk in at Septime?
Plan on no. The site gives only the booking route and says nothing about walk-ins, and a set menu served in one sitting leaves little room for a stranger at the door. A same-day cancellation can appear on the booking page, so check it the morning you want to go, but don't build an evening around that.
The walk-in table on this street is next door. Clamato, Septime's seafood restaurant at the same address, takes no reservations at all.
What should you do if Septime is full?
- Try again the next morning for a different day. The release is daily, so every morning of your three-week run-up is another chance at a new date. Being flexible on the day beats being fast on one day.
- Walk into Clamato. Clamato, at 80 rue de Charonne, is open seven days, noon to 14:30 and 19:00 to 22:30, and says plainly that it takes no reservations. It serves small plates of fish and shellfish from French fishing ports, priced by the plate. Arrive before it opens. The Clamato guide has the timing.
- Have a glass at Septime La Cave. Septime La Cave, the wine bar at 3 rue Basfroi a few minutes' walk away, is open every day from 4pm to 11pm, with a short board of cold plates such as charcuterie and aged Comté cheese from 5.50 to 12 euros. It suits a drink before Clamato or a light evening when Septime is out of reach.
- Book lunch on a weekday you had kept free. If your nights are full but one weekday lunch is open, move a museum to the afternoon and take the table.
Where does Septime fit in a Paris trip?
Septime is in the 11th arrondissement, east of the Marais, so pair it with a morning in the Marais or at the Picasso Museum and walk over. Put it on a weekday in the middle of the trip, not the night you land, so a delayed flight doesn't cost you a table you got up at 4am to book.
The four-day Paris itinerary shows where a long lunch fits around the museums, and the Paris booking order guide puts this reservation in line with the Louvre and Eiffel Tower slots that also sell out. For the base, the where to stay in Paris guide covers the Marais, a short walk from rue de Charonne. If you are eating near the museums on another day, the food near the Louvre guide picks the tables there.
