When is Roland-Garros 2027, and when do tickets go on sale?
Roland-Garros 2027 runs from Monday May 17 to Sunday June 6, and individual tickets are not on sale yet, per the tournament's ticketing notice. Roland-Garros is the French Open, the clay-court Grand Slam tennis tournament at the stadium in the 16th arrondissement, on the western edge of Paris.
The tournament says sale dates will be announced on its official ticketing site. For 2026, it announced on November 6, 2025 that registration for a draw would run from December 3 to December 17, 2025, with results by email before the end of February. If 2027 follows that pattern, watch the ticketing site in November and register in December.
Book a refundable hotel now. Tickets come late in the planning, and the rooms within reach of the stadium go well before then.

For comparison, the 2026 sequence on the tournament's own page: announcement on November 6, 2025; draw registration December 3 to 17; results by the end of February; and a separate first-come sale at the end of March for Opening Week, the qualifying week before the main draw, and for the outside courts.
How does the Roland-Garros ticket draw work?
You register in the window, a draw picks who may buy, and if you are drawn you get a time slot to buy in. That is how it worked for 2026:
- Register on the official ticketing site during the window. In 2026 that was December 3 to 17.
- A court officer oversees the draw.
- Results come by email, in 2026 before the end of February.
- If you are drawn, you buy during your assigned purchase slot.
Being drawn gives you a turn to buy, not a guaranteed seat on the court and day you want. Have three days ranked before your slot opens, with a second court for each.
Opening Week, the qualifying rounds, was sold separately in 2026, first come, first served, at the end of March. It is the easiest week to get into and a good one for a first visit: you walk between the outside courts and watch players fight for a place in the main draw.
Where can you buy Roland-Garros tickets safely?
Only on the official ticketing site, the tournament's hospitality site, its travel site, or an agency it has authorized, per its 2027 warning. The tournament says any 2027 ticket offered before official sales open can only be a fraud, and that unofficial sites charge far more than the official price.
- Individual tickets: tickets.rolandgarros.com.
- Hospitality packages, meaning a seat with a meal and lounge access: hospitality.rolandgarros.com or an agency the French Tennis Federation has authorized.
- Travel packages with tickets and a hotel: travel.rolandgarros.com.
If the draw does not go your way, a hospitality or travel package through those channels is the realistic route to a show court on a main-draw day. It costs more, and it is the one I would use rather than any reseller.
Where should you stay for Roland-Garros?
In the west of Paris, the 16th or the 7th, so the stadium is a short ride and the evenings are still in the city. A day at the tennis is long; you want to be back at the hotel in under half an hour.
The 16th is closest and quietest. The 7th, around the Eiffel Tower, gives you more restaurants for the evenings. Saint-Germain works if you would rather be in the center and spend a little longer on the metro.
Whit Monday, May 17, the first day of Opening Week, is a public holiday on the French calendar, so the weekend before it is a long weekend for Parisians too. If you arrive then, book that weekend first.
How should you plan a Roland-Garros trip?
- Now: book a refundable hotel for the days you want, and create an account on the official ticketing site.
- November and December: watch for the 2027 sale announcement and register for the draw the day it opens.
- By the end of February: if 2027 follows 2026, you will know whether you were drawn. Buy in your slot, then cut the hotel nights you do not need.
- End of March: if you were not drawn, watch for the Opening Week sale, or book an official package.
