Florilège's reservation page says seats are released online daily, up to one month ahead, at 0:00 Japan time, and links to its TableCheck page as the place to book. Both were checked October 29, 2026.",

      "text": "Book Florilège on its TableCheck page at midnight Japan time, exactly one month before the date you want: each day opens on its own, every day. Florilège's reservation page says seats are released online daily, up to one month ahead, at 0:00 Japan time, and links to its TableCheck page as the place to book. Both were checked October 29, 2026.\nThis is a rolling window, not a monthly release. A dinner on December 18 opens at midnight on November 18, and the next night opens a day later. You do not have to win one big release morning, but you do have to be on the page at the minute your own date opens.\nFlorilège is Hiroyasu Kawate's French tasting menu, on the second floor of Garden Plaza D at Azabudai Hills, near Kamiyacho station. There are no private rooms, parties are capped at four, and the restaurant does not take requests for particular seats."

      "id": "timing",
      "heading": "What time does Florilège release seats in the United States?",
      "text": "Midnight in Tokyo is 7am Pacific and 10am Eastern on the previous day from November to early March, and 8am Pacific and 11am Eastern in summer. Japan keeps the same clock all year, and daylight time in the United States ends on November 1, 2026, so on October 30 and 31, 2026 the release is still at 8am Pacific and 11am Eastern, and from November 1 it moves to 7am Pacific and 10am Eastern until early March.\nSo for a dinner on Friday, December 18, 2026, be on TableCheck at 7am Pacific on Tuesday, November 17. That is a weekday morning in the United States, which makes this one of the easier releases to catch from home.\nWhen nothing is free, TableCheck hides the time selector altogether, even on a day the restaurant is open. A blank page at 7:02 means the seats went, not that the page is broken."

      "heading": "Should you book lunch or dinner at Florilège?",
      "text": "Book lunch if you want the best odds and a lower bill; book dinner for the full evening. Florilège lists a ¥12,000 tasting menu at lunch and a ¥24,000 tasting menu at dinner, tax included, with a 10% service charge on top. TableCheck also offers the ¥24,000 full tasting menu at lunch, so you can have the whole menu in daylight.\nChecked October 29, 2026, on the restaurant's site and TableCheck.\n| Lunch | Dinner\nArrive | 12:00 to 12:30 | 18:00 to 18:30\nLength | About 2.5 hours | About 3 hours\nMenu | ¥12,000 short menu, or the ¥24,000 full menu | ¥24,000 full menu\nDrinks pairing | ¥7,700 | ¥14,000\nNot served | Monday and Tuesday | Sunday and Monday\nThe two pages disagree on whether service is included, so read the total on TableCheck before you confirm."

    {
      "id": "closed",
      "heading": "When is Florilège closed?",
      "text": "Florilège has no service on Sunday evenings, Mondays or Tuesday lunchtimes, plus irregular closures listed month by month. For November 2026, the restaurant's page lists closures on the 1st (dinner), 2nd, 3rd (lunch), 7th to 10th (with the 10th lunch only), 15th (dinner), 16th, 17th (lunch), 20th to 22nd, 24th and 25th (dinner), and 26th to 30th. The last days of November are all closed, so a trip that week needs another plan.\nCheck that list against your dates before you set the alarm. A date that never opens on TableCheck is often a closed day, not a sold-out one."

      "id": "rules",
      "heading": "What are the cancellation, age and dress rules?",
      "text": "Cancel by the day before and it costs nothing; cancel on the day and you pay the whole meal, tax and service included. Florilège also says a table can be released if you are 20 minutes late without calling. That one-day line is gentler than most Tokyo tasting menus, which is the reason seats do come back.\n• Age. Junior high school age and up, which in Japan means about 12 and older.\n• Dress. No formal code, but no shorts or sandals for men, and no strong perfume.\n• Diet. There is no vegetarian or vegan course; even the vegetable main uses dairy, egg and seafood. Florilège says it cannot cook dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free or halal, and wants allergies at booking, not on the day."

    {
      "id": "full",
      "heading": "What if Florilège is full for your dates?",
      "text": "Check TableCheck again the evening before each date, then book Den Kushi Flori, the restaurant Den runs with Florilège's chef in Jingumae, as the backup.\n• The night before. Because cancellations are free until the day before, anyone who cannot come has every reason to give the seat back then. Look the evening before your date in Japan, which is the morning of the day before in the United States.\n• Lunch. Lunch fills more slowly than Friday and Saturday dinner. If you only have one day, try the full menu at lunch.\n• Den Kushi Flori. Florilège's chef runs it with Den, and Florilège's own page sends you to its TableCheck page, which listed a ¥13,000 dinner course on October 29, 2026. It is closed on Mondays.\n• Den. If you are booking far ahead, Den opens two months out by phone. The Den booking guide has the call times.\nA hotel concierge has no earlier access to a public TableCheck calendar. For Florilège, booking it yourself at release is the faster route."

      "id": "plan",
      "heading": "Where does Florilège fit in a Tokyo trip?",
      "text": "Lunch at Florilège suits a day around Azabudai Hills, Roppongi and Toranomon, and a 2.5-hour meal leaves the afternoon for a museum or a walk. Keep dinner off your arrival night, since a same-day cancellation is charged in full.\nIf a sushi dinner is also on the list, the Tokyo omakase booking guide gives the release dates for named counters, so you can line the two up. The Tokyo food guide plans the other meals, the where to stay in Tokyo guide picks a base, and the Japan booking order puts the one-month window next to flights and hotels."
