Tickets are issued in the visitor’s name, so enter names carefully and bring identification. For visits from May 9, 2026, the park limits name changes to specific cases and requires them by seven days before the visit.\nThe standard 24-hour ticket covers one timed Colosseum entry plus one entry to the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Imperial Fora. That is already a substantial day. The arena, underground and attic are different products, not automatic upgrades. Buy one because that part matters to you, not because the word “full” sounds safer.\nI would choose a morning slot, then continue into the Forum and Palatine before lunch in Monti. The official park page lists seasonal closing times, so a late Colosseum ticket can leave less daylight for the archaeological area. It now requires paid admission for most visitors, but it does not need to control an entire day. Use the official visitor page if you want a scheduled experience, or place it between Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain after checking current access.\nChurches such as San Luigi dei Francesi, Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria sopra Minerva are best treated as part of the walk. Check hours and religious services, but resist turning each one into a timed attraction."
